Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Rob Caskie at ‘Beyond’

The Shackleton Company presents Sir Ranulph Fiennes and Rob Caskie at ‘Beyond’ - Steppes Travels’ adventure festival at The Royal Geographical Society on 17th/18th September 2016.

The Shackleton Company is proud to support a 2-day event at the RGS this weekend.

‘Beyond’ hosted by partner Steppes Travel celebrates all that is best in the world of travel, conservation and exploration.

The travel festival features an inspiring array of adventurers, explorers, wildlife conservationists, destination experts and organisations, all of whom share a passion for travel and the issues that surround it all.

The Shackleton Company is especially excited to support 2 of the headline speakers:

Sir Ranulph Fiennes, frequently referred to as the World’s Greatest Living Explorer was, with Charles Burton, the first man to reach both poles by surface travel and with Mike Stroud, the first to cross the Antarctic continent unsupported.

Rob Caskie is a Master Storyteller whose talk ‘Going South with Scott & Shackleton’ is a portrayal of two Polar Greats: a journey to the South Pole with Scott’s party of 5 in January 1912, and the tragic deaths of all the men on the return, followed by Shackleton’s story of desperate struggles and triumph of human spirit. Here at The Shackleton Company we couldn’t possibly comment on which might be the more inspiring story.
